Why is it so important to package my shipment correctly?

Freight can be loaded and unloaded several times while in transit. Proper packaging helps to ensure that your merchandise will be protected from this process. In addition to the normal coverage, you may choose to purchase additional insurance to cover your merchandise in the unfortunate event it becomes damaged in transit. In order for freight to be insured, insurance companies require that the goods to be shipped are securely and properly packed.
It is always best to have a professional package your freight. You can find them listed in the yellow pages under "Packaging" or we can make arrangements for the proper packaging of your valuables as an additional service.
